At Houston Thyroid and Endocrine we want to optimize the time you spend with your doctor. It takes lots of time to download your diabetes devices and interpret the data while in the clinic. This delay takes away from the time the doctor can spend with you. The Diasend system is a secure HIPPA compliant way for you to share your data with the doctor from your computer.
Register yourself at Diasend so we can associate the serial number of your device with your name and our clinic. Keep your username and password for future use. Download the Diasend Uploader software to your computer. You only need to do this step one-time and then you can add as many devices as you would like such as glucometers, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitors. This system will not work with any Medtronic product
1. Connect your device to your computer and start the Diasend Uploader program with the appropriate USB or infrared system. If you need a cable contact the manufacturer and they will usually send you one for free. Use this link.
2. Log in at Diasend.com. All of your data is presented in an easy to understand format. SHARE your upload with our clinic 2-3 days prior to your appointment. CLINIC ID to share your upload is 55-58847
3. Send a patient portal message to the doctors nurse that you have uploaded a set of glucose data so they know to attach the report to your chart.
