Recipes for diabetes

Do you spend too much time on food preparation?  As a diabetes mellitus patient, especially if you are overweight you should not relying on unhealthy and prepackaged food? 
  • Fresh is best. The recipes often call for fresh ingredients (especially fruits, vegetables, and herbs) and only include prepackaged food products when their use is necessary and does not affect the recipe's flavor. 
  • Reduced-calorie margarine and artificial sweeteners are used very rarely. 
  • Cooking several days' worth of meals involves planning ahead. Decide before you go to the grocery store what you want to cook, and you'll avoid those repeat trips for forgotten items. A well-thought-out plan saves you time and money.
